Behavioral Health Care Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform structured evaluations of the mental and behavioral health as well as the functioning of oncology patients referred by affiliated cancer centers and clinics.

• Create treatment plans informed by assessment findings utilizing Protocol’s evidence-based modular treatment strategy.

• Execute treatment modules and carry out continuous progress evaluations to direct subsequent steps in care and adjust as necessary based on patient development.

• Keep a patient registry that complies with the specifications of the Collaborative Care Model.

• Attend weekly consultation meetings with Protocol’s consulting psychiatrist.

• Collaborate and communicate with oncology teams regarding patient progress and recommendations, and participate in care coordination meetings as required.

• Manage a patient caseload aimed at achieving 65% patient-facing time.

• Engage in initial and ongoing training mandated by Protocol.

• Utilize between-session messaging as needed to support patients.

• Participate in continuous supervision and departmental meetings.

• (If licensed) uphold licensure in the home state and secure licensure in other states as requested by Protocol (licensure expenses will be borne by Protocol).

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid, unrestricted license to provide mental health treatment in at least one U.S. state is preferred; however, pre-licensed candidates are also welcomed.

• Capability to manage a caseload of patients with diverse diagnoses, backgrounds, and cultures, and varying levels of acuity.

• Proficiency in delivering care in a virtual environment.

• Experience with patients facing oncology and/or chronic or serious medical conditions.

• Background in supporting patients with suicidal ideation and/or trauma.
