This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Deliver individualized client care in both one-on-one and group settings by employing a blend of intensive teaching methods and natural environment training.
• Adhere to the established behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as detailed in the client's personalized treatment plan created by a BCBA/BC.
• Gather, document, and analyze data on observable behaviors exhibited by clients.
• Support parent and caregiver training aligned with the client’s tailored treatment and behavior reduction strategies.
• Ensure timely completion of documentation in accordance with Centria's established protocols.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about client progress as directed by the BCBA/BC.
• Apply safe and appropriate techniques when interacting with clients, and promptly report any critical incidents or safety issues.
• Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
• Assist the BCBA/BC in preparing client materials, conducting behavior reduction assessments, and facilitating skill acquisition.
• Willingness to undergo the company’s background check process.
• A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must possess reliable transportation and, in certain instances, provide proof of a driver's license and valid car insurance.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, along with a TB test if necessary.
• Must be capable of performing physical tasks associated with this role, including getting down on the floor and standing up repeatedly, lifting up to 50 lbs, and moving quickly if needed.
• Reliability is essential, with a commitment to attend all scheduled therapy appointments.
• Must maintain a high level of professionalism in both appearance and conduct.
• Patience is required to assist clients in staying focused on tasks.
• Ability to maintain emotional control, even during instances of physical or verbal outbursts from clients.
• A positive attitude and a strong desire to help children develop new skills are essential.
• Strong attention to detail with the capability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
• Ability to follow and execute detailed instructions effectively.
• Proficiency in technology to record data on mobile devices and navigate digital applications.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Strong cultural competency with a flexible and open-minded approach.
• Previous experience in roles such as Behavioral Technician, Teacher’s Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver or Home Health Aide is preferred but not required.
