Batch Developer, Linux, C, SQL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develops, tests, debugs, implements, and documents software applications.

• Aids in modifying company products and/or internal/customer systems to align with client and/or end-user requirements.

• Collects information from the system, evaluates program and time necessities, and prepares documentation to adjust existing software.

• Researches and assesses current systems and program needs, with occasional supervision.

• Designs software for projects or enhancements to current applications.

• Creates specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.

• Develops and proposes alternative strategies for problem resolution.

• Formulates test plans to validate the logic of new or adjusted programs.

• Engages in quality assurance tasks, including conducting peer reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in applications development and programming with C, Linux, job scripts/streams, SQL, and IWS (Integrated Web Services).

• Proficient in resolving cycle abends and debugging batch code.

• Strong SQL/data analysis capabilities for troubleshooting and validation purposes.

• Comfortable addressing production issues, conducting defect analysis, performing data investigation, and executing end-to-end testing.

• Experience with pharmacy or healthcare systems (NCPDP – D.0, EDI transactions, etc.) is preferred.

• Familiarity with mainframe (COBOL) or legacy systems is advantageous.
