Bare Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Become a part of Tether and influence the future of digital finance by helping to develop innovative products.

• Create native addons that connect platform APIs to JavaScript.

• Troubleshoot issues across various operating systems.

• Support and enhance existing native modules in response to product team requirements.

• Establish and manage cross-platform builds for macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.

• Contribute to the Bare runtime core and assess alternative JavaScript engines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient C programming skills, with experience in writing and debugging native code across different platforms.

• Advanced JavaScript capabilities, with a comprehensive understanding of Node.js internals and the module ecosystem.

• Experience in creating native addons for Node.js or similar environments (N-API, node-gyp, or equivalent).

• Knowledge of libuv or other asynchronous I/O frameworks.

• Comfortable working with build toolchains across macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.

• Familiarity with cross-compilation and platform-specific system APIs (Bluetooth, networking, filesystem).

• Ability to read and navigate extensive C and C++ codebases.

• Self-motivated work approach with strong written communication skills.
