This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Successfully implement Empyrean's Profitability Solutions, guiding clients from project initiation to a well-configured, sustainable model at go-live.
• Convert each client's profitability goals and reporting requirements into an implementation strategy that their team can manage and sustain.
• Configure profitability dimensions, hierarchies, and allocation logic to deliver accurate, decision-ready outputs, including capital, ACL, and provision allocations.
• Ensure that client data supporting profitability is comprehensive, reconciled, and dependable, serving as the foundation for reporting.
• Empower clients to generate and trust their profitability reports across various views, including customer, instrument, product, and organization.
• Enable clients to independently manage the solution and create their own reports through effective training and knowledge transfer.
• Provide clients with guidance on best practices for data management, reporting, and profitability assessment.
• Act as a bridge between the client user community and Empyrean's product management team, relaying client needs into product development.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools and standardized processes to deliver value more efficiently and consistently, while contributing to process enhancements over time.
• Protect sensitive customer information by adhering to all relevant policies and controls, and using approved channels for data transmission.
• Carry out additional job responsibilities and assignments as required and directed.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in banking, financial services, FP&A, or financial technology.
• Strong understanding of the banking sector, accounting principles, and financial statements.
• Proficient in Excel with experience managing large datasets.
• High attention to detail along with excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Comfortable with following and enhancing structured processes.
• Proven AI literacy in a professional setting, demonstrating sound judgment regarding its application, including knowledge of data handling and confidentiality issues.
• Understanding of bank profitability principles, including Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), cost allocation, and measurements of product, customer, instrument, and organizational profitability.
• Knowledge of fixed-income cash flow calculations and fixed-income mathematics.
• Acquainted with risk-based/regulatory capital attribution and allowance calculations (ACL/ALLL).
• Experience in implementing planning or profitability solutions within a financial institution.
• Background in financial data management, ETL tools, and Microsoft Power Query.
• Familiarity with SQL or other data analysis tools.
• Previous experience in consulting, implementation, or customer success roles.
• Experience in developing or enhancing repeatable, AI-assisted workflows.
