Backend Specialist, Charging Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will take charge of the system architecture and ongoing enhancement of our Charging Operations systems, with a focus on CPMS and the charging backend.

• You will ensure the reliable operation of our systems: monitoring and analyzing anomalies, troubleshooting issues, developing sustainable solutions, and maintaining thorough documentation.

• You will design the interfaces and data flows between CPMS, OCPP/OCPI, roaming, EMP and CPO partners, payment and billing systems, and internal systems like our ERP.

• You will identify opportunities for optimization and enhance the quality and performance of our operations by implementing efficient processes and automations.

• You will establish and uphold operational standards, document processes, and promote the development of sustainable knowledge management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a comparable field.

• Several years of professional experience along with strong expertise in platform operations and system architecture, ideally within charging infrastructure, IoT, or energy sectors.

• A solid understanding of charging backends (CPMS) and standards such as OCPP/OCPI.

• Additional knowledge in roaming, payments, or billing would enhance your profile.

• You excel in accurately capturing, structuring, and implementing requirements in collaboration with both internal and external partners.

• You exhibit a structured, independent work style and clear communication skills.

• Proficiency in German and good command of English are required.
