Backend Software Engineer – AI Neobank App

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Develop backend services, APIs, and workflows for the AI Neobank application.

• Provide support for products spanning insurance, payments, wallets, savings, investing, travel, and financial services.

• Create dependable systems for managing user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation, notifications, and operations.

• Collaborate with product and mobile teams to swiftly deliver customer-facing experiences.

• Establish integrations with banks, payment gateways, insurers, data providers, and other collaborators.

• Enhance system reliability, observability, security, and performance.

• Develop systems that are practical, auditable, and compliant with regulated financial products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of backend engineering experience.

• Strong foundational knowledge in APIs, databases, system design, and production debugging.

• Proven experience in building scalable services and integrating third-party systems.

• Solid understanding of security, reliability, data quality, and operational edge cases.

• Ability to make pragmatic trade-offs between speed, quality, and risk.

• Comfortable collaborating with product, mobile, operations, and business teams.

• Experience in fintech, payments, insurance, lending, banking, or regulated products is highly advantageous.
