Backend Engineer, Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Familiarize yourself with Eneba’s technology stack and comprehend how its services and systems interconnect during your initial months.

• Engage in hands-on coding and implement security measures.

• Manage incident response and conduct threat hunting activities.

• Assess and triage security submissions and incident reports.

• Evaluate bug bounty submissions and ensure proper remediation actions are taken.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance incident response and remediation procedures.

• Draft and update security policies and related documentation.

• Convey security requirements and risks to non-technical teams.

• Analyze application monitoring data and logs to detect and investigate anomalies.

• Assist in access governance and permission management processes.

• Collaborate closely with backend engineering and other departments to integrate practical security measures throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong knowledge of PHP.

• Understanding of security principles or a demonstrated interest in the field, such as participation in bug bounties, CTFs, engaging with security blogs, or following the security community.

• Experience in IT, backend engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks without requiring constant supervision.

• A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Willingness to learn and work across diverse systems, languages, and technologies.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools and application monitoring is a plus.

• Knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 is advantageous.

• Must be able to submit a CV in English.
