Backend Engineer – PCB CAD Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and development of integrations with the scripting systems and file formats of CAD vendors.

• Define and enhance Quilter’s internal PCB representation to ensure compatibility across various tools.

• Create robust APIs and backend services to simplify CAD complexities for downstream teams.

• Work collaboratively with ML, EDA, and electrical engineering specialists to guarantee seamless interoperability.

• Offer technical guidance on architecture, testing, and best practices.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to shaping the culture of the File I/O team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a software engineer, with substantial experience in backend roles.

• Expert-level proficiency in Python (mandatory) and contemporary backend frameworks.

• Demonstrated experience in leading intricate integration projects or managing large/ambiguous data models.

• Strong skills in system design, including API design and the reliability of distributed systems.

• Exceptional collaboration and communication abilities, with a proven history of cross-functional influence.

• Capability to excel in a dynamic, high-ownership startup environment.
