This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore, +3 more countries.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services that support Binance Pay and Card products.
• Create scalable APIs and microservices for payment processing, transaction management, merchant services, and associated financial workflows.
• Engage in the development of distributed systems that manage high-volume and latency-sensitive transactions.
• Work with databases, caching systems, message queues, and infrastructure components to enhance performance and reliability.
• Implement transaction workflows with features such as retries, idempotency, concurrency, and failure management.
• Aid in troubleshooting production issues by utilizing logs, metrics, tracing, and root-cause analysis.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in code reviews.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the reliability, observability, security, and engineering practices of the system.
• Work alongside backend engineers, product managers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to develop dependable, secure, and scalable payment services.
• Focus on backend systems that facilitate crypto and fiat payment experiences for users and merchants worldwide.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and fundamental concepts in computer science.
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including indexes, transactions, and foundational database design principles.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTTP, networking, and client-server architecture.
• Understanding of operating systems, concurrency, and common concepts in backend engineering.
• Ability to produce clear, maintainable code and systematically address technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills and a desire to learn in a rapidly evolving engineering environment.
