Backend Engineer – Java, Trading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective services through robust coding and comprehensive testing.

• Proactively engage in performance optimization and resolve incidents.

• Create and uphold high-quality technical documentation.

• Develop superior code, adhere to best practices, and promote engineering excellence.

• Collaborate with various engineering teams while mentoring junior team members.

• Construct a large-scale KYC platform.

• Introduce innovative products and incorporate regional and global compliance vendors.

• Responsibly utilize AI/ML technologies while ensuring compliance with global and local regulatory frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field of experience.

• At least 4 years of professional experience in developing high-throughput distributed applications.

• Strong proficiency in core Java and the Spring Framework.

• Expertise in MySQL and familiarity with at least one NoSQL database.

• Proficient in distributed system design and acquainted with at least one messaging middleware along with its design principles.

• Capability to perform effectively under pressure and adapt quickly.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a remote team across different time zones.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential for coordination with international partners and stakeholders.
