Backend Engineer – Integrations, Distributed Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain resilient backend services and APIs.

• Enhance and advance backend integrations.

• Construct and sustain scalable event-driven backend architectures.

• Independently create microservices.

• Develop and manage backend services on AWS.

• Take ownership of backend systems in a production environment.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of backend services.

• Design and engage with SQL-based data models.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented backend code.

• Proactively address backend challenges and drive them to resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in senior backend engineering.

• Proficiency in Go (Golang).

• Knowledge of distributed systems and backend architecture.

• Experience with event-driven systems.

• Expertise in backend integrations and APIs.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms.

• Understanding of databases.

• Strong production mindset.

• Ownership of problem-solving.

• Exposure to TypeScript.

• Domain experience is a plus.

• Skills in observability and diagnostics are a bonus.
