Backend Engineer, GoLang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Implementation of features in accordance with the roadmap, participation in task planning and estimation;

• Writing readable, maintainable code, engaging in code reviews, and adhering to engineering standards;

• Handling bugs and incidents while contributing to the stability of production;

• Refactoring problematic areas and enhancing architecture within the scope of tasks;

• Ensuring code coverage with unit tests and participating in improving release quality;

• Documenting key decisions and participating in knowledge transfer within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial experience in backend development, including 1.5+ years with Go;

• Experience working with production systems and the complete delivery cycle (from requirements to release), including incident support and production issues;

• Experience in designing and implementing REST APIs (including versioning and backward compatibility);

• Practical experience with SQL (PostgreSQL or similar), including indexes and query optimization;

• Experience with legacy/technical debt (refactoring, stabilization, maintaining existing systems);

• Experience writing unit tests;

• Basic understanding of infrastructure (Docker, CI/CD, service deployment);

• Experience working in cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps).
