Backend Engineer – Desktop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices utilizing Python.

• Integrate and support Pindrop solutions such as authentication, fraud detection workflows, and SDK/API usage.

• Architect backend applications that are secure, scalable, and high-performance.

• Connect backend services with both relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.

• Write clean, efficient, and testable code while adhering to best practices for performance, maintainability, and security.

• Design and deploy cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and IAM.

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using either GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.

• Establish monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Splunk.

• Collaborate on infrastructure automation using CloudFormation and Terraform.

• Integrate solutions with AWS services like Lambda.

• Utilize AI-assisted coding in development workflows.

• Provide assistance in migration projects transitioning from legacy contact center platforms to Amazon Connect.

• Contribute to frontend development (React/Angular/Vue) as required and ensure seamless integration with backend APIs.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in backend development.

• Over 5 years of experience in cloud-based application engineering.

• More than 5 years of experience with Python, Node.js, C#, or Java (Python is required).

• Practical experience with Pindrop integrations, including risk scoring, authentication workflows, and troubleshooting.

• Understanding of telephony concepts and SIP trunking.

• Experience with AWS SDKs, reporting, analytics, and troubleshooting.

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Strong knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security best practices.

• Significant experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, RDS, DynamoDB, and VPC.

• Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with CloudFormation and Terraform for infrastructure as code.

• Understanding of networking and cloud security best practices.

• Nice to Have: Experience with Amazon Connect integrations, including API usage, contact flow design, routing, queues, and call-flow troubleshooting.

• Nice to Have: Experience or knowledge of AI and LLM models.

• Nice to Have: Basic skills in frontend development (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3).

• Nice to Have: Familiarity with frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Nice to Have: Understanding of responsive UI/UX design principles.

• Nice to Have: AWS Certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Developer Associate, Solutions Architect Associate).

• Nice to Have: Experience with event-driven architectures (SNS, SQS, EventBridge).
