Backend Developer – PHP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain robust backend services that are equipped to manage high-volume global traffic.

• Develop functional APIs and enhance query performance to guarantee a smooth user experience.

• Play a key role in our modular architecture, assisting in the creation of resilient, service-oriented systems.

• Produce clean, maintainable code by utilizing SOLID principles, best practices in OOP, and design patterns.

• Excel in debugging, adeptly identifying and resolving issues throughout our technology stack.

• Incorporate asynchronous processes through queues and fundamental event-driven patterns to boost system efficiency.

• Work collaboratively with Senior Engineers and Product teams to transform requirements into high-quality technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience in backend development with a strong expertise in PHP.

• Demonstrated experience in building applications using Laravel or a solid background in Symfony with an interest in transitioning.

• Profound understanding of OOP, interfaces, and code modularity; you recognize the importance of "clean code."

• Comprehensive knowledge of SQL, encompassing database indexing, migrations, and basic query optimization.

• AI Proficiency: Capability to effectively utilize AI tools during technical tasks; we appreciate engineers who can prompt, validate, and iterate with AI to enhance software development.

• Familiarity with contemporary infrastructure, including Docker and basic troubleshooting of CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in testing, particularly in crafting unit and feature tests to ensure code reliability.

• Proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate technical progress and seek assistance effectively within a remote team.
