Back End Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Designing and developing scalable and dependable backend services that manage real-time transaction processing.

• Creating and enhancing event-driven architectures for the handling of financial events.

• Collaborating with external partners such as card processors, banking APIs, and payment networks.

• Participating in feature development from the design phase to deployment, with guidance from senior engineers.

• Working closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver quickly and iteratively.

• Contributing to engineering practices and tools as the team expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-4 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong command of Java or a similar statically-typed language (Kotlin, Scala, C#).

• Proven experience with microservices and distributed systems in a production environment.

• Familiarity with messaging or event streaming technologies (Kafka, Pulsar, or comparable systems).

• Strong understanding of relational databases, with an intuition for data modeling and transactional consistency.

• Comfortable working with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego approach.
