B2B Food Safety, Quality Assurance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Collaborate across departments including Food Safety, Culinary, Supply Chain, and Sales.

• Oversee employee training related to food safety and sanitation practices.

• Manage FSQS data entry, monitoring, and updates.

• Coordinate with external testing laboratories as well as local and state licensing and permitting agencies.

• Evaluate the existing database of raw material ingredients and packaging components to identify missing or required specification information.

• Develop a system to organize current database components within the internal Recipe Management System and for cross-utilization in external software like Genesis and TraceGains.

• Supervise the generation of Nutrition Fact Panels (NFP) to ensure accuracy.

• Maintain data integrity concerning nutrition, allergens, and compliance for individual food ingredients and final products.

• Establish protocols for onboarding new suppliers.

• Assess hazard analysis and preventive controls, identify critical controls, and assist in the creation of policies, procedures, and supporting documentation.

• Formulate a risk-based list of priority meals that require precise recipe execution at the manufacturing level.

• Communicate with stakeholders and the chef community about critical control points for the manufacturing of specialty meals.

• Develop testing methods, parameters, and sampling plans for label declaration validation, collaborating with external labs to create a comprehensive testing program.

• Monitor food production and quality check records/documentation to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including refrigeration, chemical concentration, and temperature check records.

• Review cooler functionality and sanitary transport data to confirm that B2B shipments meet chill chain requirements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science with 3-5 years of relevant experience.

• Familiarity with US regulatory labeling and nutritional declaration requirements.

• Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with a diverse range of partners and stakeholders.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must.

• Willingness to travel to the US as needed.
