Azure Integration Engineer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Design and develop Azure Durable Functions utilizing orchestrator and activity patterns.

• Create scalable, cloud-native solutions with .NET 8 (Isolated Worker model).

• Transform legacy PowerShell scripts into stateless, production-ready Azure Functions.

• Implement event-driven architectures using Azure Event Hubs and related services.

• Develop and enhance data ingestion patterns, including watermark-based change detection and parallel processing.

• Ensure system reliability through comprehensive observability, including logging, monitoring, retry logic, and error handling (App Insights).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and execute integration strategies.

• Provide technical leadership and best practices for Azure-based integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing Azure-based integration solutions.

• Strong practical knowledge of Azure Durable Functions and .NET (C#).

• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture.

• Solid grasp of scalability, performance optimization, and cloud-native design patterns.

• Familiarity with Azure Event Hubs or similar messaging/streaming platforms.

• In-depth knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Application Insights).

• Ability to work independently in a client-facing, dynamic environment.
