This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Oversee the complete solution delivery process: from requirements gathering to architecture, design, construction, testing, and deployment.
• Act as the technical leader: establish engineering standards, resolve delivery obstacles, and guarantee quality throughout testing and release phases.
• Develop and execute AI solutions utilizing Azure AI services (such as Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning) and, when suitable, Copilot / Copilot Studio.
• Prioritize security, governance, and practical usability over mere experimentation.
• Construct data platforms utilizing Azure data services (ADF, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS) and/or Microsoft Fabric.
• Provide production-grade pipelines (ETL/ELT), storage and computing patterns, as well as data models that support BI and AI workloads.
• Leverage the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) when it serves as the optimal tool for swift business value.
• Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to convert requirements into actionable designs.
• Work alongside security and governance teams to ensure that solutions comply with best practices and client constraints.
• Articulate architecture decisions — including trade-offs — in accessible language.
• Function as a trusted advisor: align project scope with expected outcomes, manage stakeholder expectations, and keep clients updated on changes.
• Develop reusable internal resources (reference architectures, accelerators, playbooks) that enhance delivery quality.
• Remain up-to-date on changes to Azure AI and data platforms and apply insights practically to client solutions.
• Assist in early discovery, solution conceptualization, and contribute to technical proposals, estimates, and SOWs as required.
• A minimum of 10 years in delivering technology solutions, with at least 5 years in leading data engineering, analytics, or AI projects on Azure.
• Proven track record of personal accountability — able to articulate what was built, the rationale behind choices made, and potential improvements for future projects.
• Direct experience with Azure AI services and Azure data platforms and/or Microsoft Fabric.
• Capability to design scalable patterns (such as lakes, warehouses, modeling) and responsibly integrate AI into workflows.
• Practical operational mindset (CI/CD and MLOps experience is advantageous).
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making explicit trade-offs, and maintaining momentum in delivery without requiring constant guidance.
• Strong communicator in client-facing roles who can clearly explain complex decisions and confidently lead the technical direction.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Background in consulting or professional services.
• Experience with Power Platform and Power BI.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and data governance.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications.
• Proficient in Python used within real production environments.
• Experience in writing and maintaining code for data processing, automation, or model deployment.
• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
• Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
• Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
• Flexible work environment and remote work options.
• Collaborative and innovative team culture.
