AWS Cloud Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide infrastructure solutions as part of a skilled, cross-disciplinary team.

• Utilize a developer mindset to implement infrastructure via code.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Satalia’s Logistics and Delivery offerings.

• Collaborate with solution architects to determine optimal technologies and processes for clients.

• Serve as a technical authority in conversations regarding best practices and risk management.

• Ensure that security considerations are incorporated, tested, and upheld.

• Integrate observability into the infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in building infrastructure and deploying code within one of the major cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

• Proficiency with Bitbucket Pipelines, Terraform, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and K6.

• Experience in implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, and tracing tools such as Grafana.

• Capability to communicate and elucidate technical concepts at suitable levels for teams and clients.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure and Configuration as Code.

• Familiarity with safe deployment strategies and CI/CD practices.

• Understanding of cloud-based and cloud-native system architecture.

• Comprehension of observability principles.

• Awareness of developer experience.

• Insights into DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• Understanding of Information Security and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).

• Hands-on experience with AWS.

• Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions Workflows, or Azure DevOps Pipelines, Repos, and Artifacts.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and various cloud implementations.

• Experience in deploying and managing observability stacks in production settings, including integration with Kubernetes workloads and cloud-native services.

• Practical experience with Terraform and familiarity with Terragrunt and Terratest.

• Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments.

• Experience overseeing automation tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI.

• Proficiency with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JMeter, or Lighthouse.

• Strong scripting capabilities in PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, or Perl.
