AWS Cloud Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide infrastructure solutions as a member of a skilled cross-disciplinary team.

• Employ a developer-centric approach to deliver infrastructure via code.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Satalia’s Logistics and Delivery offerings.

• Collaborate with solution architects to determine the most effective technologies and processes for clients.

• Serve as a technical authority in discussions regarding best practices and risk management.

• Ensure that security considerations are integrated, tested, and maintained.

• Incorporate observability into the infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in building infrastructure and deploying code on one of the major cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

• Familiarity with Bitbucket Pipelines.

• Experience with Terraform.

• Proficiency in Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of ArgoCD.

• Experience with K6.

• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, and tracing tools, such as Grafana.

• Ability to articulate and clarify technical concepts to teams and clients.

• Understanding of Infrastructure and Configuration as Code principles.

• Knowledge of safe deployment strategies and CI/CD processes.

• Familiarity with cloud-based and cloud-native system design.

• Insight into observability practices.

• Awareness of developer experience considerations.

• Understanding of DevOps and SRE methodologies.

• Knowledge of InfoSec and SIEM concepts.

• Hands-on experience with AWS.

• Proficiency with Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions Workflows, or Azure DevOps Pipelines, Repos, and Artifacts.

• Experience with Kubernetes across various cloud implementations.

• Experience in deploying and managing observability stacks in production environments, including integration with Kubernetes workloads and cloud-native services.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform; familiarity with Terragrunt and Terratest is a plus.

• Production experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible.

• Experience managing automation tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI.

• Familiarity with automated testing tools like Selenium, JMeter, or Lighthouse.

• Strong scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, or Perl.
