AVP, Data Solutions Engineering

📋 Description

• Provide well-structured data solutions in collaboration with data platform engineers, data governance teams, data scientists, and data analytics/visualization colleagues.

• Collaborate with business units to create data solutions while mentoring early-career data engineers.

• Oversee the construction and deployment of data pipelines.

• Maintain the reliability, scalability, and governance of data pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.

• Comprehensive understanding of ETL/ELT processes, APIs, Cloud technologies, and data operations.

• Knowledge of Actuarial practices, Investment strategies, and Finance within the Insurance/Reinsurance sector is an advantage.

• At least seven years of progressive experience in a data engineering role, including a minimum of five years in programming (Python) and SQL.

• Strong familiarity with data lakes, data governance, and contemporary data quality methodologies.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual abilities.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
