This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the organization's initiatives to assess complex data for maintaining its integrity and accuracy.
• Establish a vision and standards for data quality, foster trust in reporting and analytics across the organization, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with teams in engineering, data excellence, pricing and analytics, and finance to enhance data quality.
• Set data quality KPIs, create tools for monitoring and improving data quality, and implement a process for issue management and resolution.
• Oversee a team responsible for proactively querying databases, analyzing data and dashboards, understanding data flow processes, and supporting the execution of data initiatives.
• Work closely with the Chief Product and Data Officer as the team enhances data quality capabilities and contributes to all data integrity projects.
• Required knowledge in the insurance domain; actuarial experience or credentials (ACAS, FCAS, or equivalent) are preferred.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Required proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Excel; familiarity with or experience in Snowflake and Python is advantageous.
• A robust analytical and strategic mindset; inquisitive and tenacious in uncovering the reasons behind data inconsistencies.
• Ability to thrive in a startup environment characterized by a fast-paced atmosphere and uncertainty.
