Avionics Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Montana.

📋 Description

• Install, wire, configure, test, and verify the functionality of avionics equipment and accessories for Beechcraft King Air Series, Pilatus PC-12, and Kodiak 100 aircraft.

• Program and set up special mission radios and communication systems, which includes software loading, frequency programming, and mission-specific configurations.

• Update and configure Garmin avionics equipment, including database uploads, system setup, and integration verification across installed avionics suites.

• Diagnose issues with aircraft communication systems, such as VHF radios, intercoms, datalinks, and related antennas and wiring; identify and rectify faults using test equipment and technical reference materials.

• Exhibit proficiency in interpreting wiring diagrams, avionics schematics, and component technical data to facilitate installations and troubleshooting.

• Alter existing wire harnesses and create new wire harnesses to support avionics installations and aircraft modifications.

• Keep precise and thorough maintenance and avionics records using the Bridger Aerospace records system, ensuring documentation of all work in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

• Assist with general aircraft maintenance, including both scheduled and unscheduled inspections, phase checks, engine runs, and operational checks across various airframe types.

• Aid in the removal and installation of engines, props, and major components as necessary; support STC installations, aircraft modifications, and adherence to service bulletins and ADs.

• Work closely with pilots, maintenance planners, and inspectors to guarantee aircraft readiness; maintain a tidy and organized workspace with tools and equipment properly maintained.

• Utilize sound judgment and technical skills to make informed decisions regarding job sequencing, troubleshooting methods, and resolving discrepancies.

• Perform any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL); Airframe and Powerplant License is advantageous.

• Over 5 years of experience in Avionics / Aircraft Electronics Maintenance.

• Valid Driver’s License and Passport required.

• Must be able to pass a DOT drug screening.

• Willingness to travel for extended periods.

• Ability to be insured on company vehicles.

• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. FARs.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Capability to work independently and under high-pressure conditions.

• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.

• Necessary tools required for the position.

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
