Aviation Regulatory Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, submit, and advocate for aviation regulatory operational approval requests, waivers, exemptions, and declarations.

• Assist customers and partners in navigating advanced regulatory initiatives.

• Create and sustain scalable systems to monitor and manage the implementation of regulatory projects.

• Convert emerging regulations into clear internal instructions and actionable strategies.

• Provide support for product demonstrations and technical validation events alongside flight testing and solutions engineering teams.

• Offer guidance to customer support, product management, and engineering teams on compliant, safe, and scalable product utilization.

• Collaborate with the FAA and global civil aviation authorities during regulatory reviews, audits, and compliance discussions.

• Represent Skydio in standards development, industry organizations, and consensus forums.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation, engineering, public policy, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Proven experience in navigating regulatory frameworks for unmanned aircraft operations.

• Strong ability to articulate complex technical and regulatory concepts in a clear and persuasive manner.

• Experience in cross-functional collaboration within fast-paced, high-growth settings.

• Demonstrated ownership and capability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

• A fervent interest in aviation and autonomy.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to travel to client locations and participate in technical validation events, including international travel, as necessary.

• Experience in both manned and unmanned aviation is advantageous.
