Automation Tester, C#

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Take on a key quality engineering position within a team tasked with creating a brand-new enterprise-level payment gateway from the ground up.

• You will be instrumental in defining the automation strategy and test architecture for a highly secure financial platform from the outset.

• Become a part of a cross-functional Scrum team dedicated to delivering a payment gateway platform designed for high availability, security, and regulatory compliance.

• Your primary focus will be on designing and maintaining automated test suites that encompass API testing, integration workflows, and backend services.

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and a Scrum Master, engaging in all Scrum ceremonies and contributing to the definitions of ready and done from a quality assurance viewpoint.

• The work environment requires strict adherence to PCI-DSS standards and secure testing methodologies, making compliance an integral part of the daily workflow.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in testing APIs and integrations within complex distributed systems.

• Demonstrated automation expertise with frameworks and tools such as SpecFlow, Selenium, RestSharp, Postman, or Newman.

• Proficient in C# for the development and maintenance of automated test suites.

• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Azure DevOps Pipelines.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, message queues, event-driven architectures, and SQL for data validation purposes.

• Background in testing payment systems, financial services platforms, or other high-security transactional environments.

• Knowledge of payment lifecycle concepts and familiarity with PCI-DSS and secure testing practices.

• Experience with Azure DevOps for managing test cases, tracking defects, executing automated tests, and generating reporting dashboards.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

• Exceptional communication abilities and comfort in collaborating within agile, fast-paced Scrum teams.

• Required language proficiency: English (fluent).
