Automation Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and execute automated test cases under the supervision of a senior tester or QA lead.

• Assist in the automation of functional, regression, and smoke tests for web applications, APIs, or mobile platforms (depending on the project).

• Analyze user stories and acceptance criteria to identify scenarios suitable for automation.

• Maintain and run existing automation scripts, fixing basic issues and enhancing their stability.

• Collaborate with manual testers to transform manual test cases into automated scripts.

• Execute automated tests within continuous integration pipelines when applicable.

• Analyze results from automated executions and distinguish between actual defects and false positives.

• Document test evidence, results, and identified defects.

• Log and track incidents in management tools.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum): daily stand-ups, refinements, and retrospectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in test automation.

• Programming languages: Java (Primary), Python (desirable).

• Automation frameworks: Selenium, TestNG / JUnit, Cucumber (BDD – desirable), Playwright (desirable).

• API automation tools: Postman, SoapUI.

• Mobile automation (initial exposure, desirable): Appium.

• Test and defect management: Jira, ALM / Quality Center.

• DevOps / Support tools: Git, Maven / Gradle, Jenkins (basic executions).

• Environments: Web, APIs, Mobile (when required by the project).
