Automation Test Engineer – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Support the development of comprehensive system test plans and methodologies.

• Assist in creating system test scenarios.

• Carry out test case execution.

• Effectively prioritize and manage defects.

• Conduct defect fix testing during the system testing phase.

• Aid in the formulation of UAT scenarios and corresponding test cases.

• Perform retesting of defect fixes during the UAT phase.

• Help develop dashboards to track test execution progress, including reporting on test metrics.

• Provide consulting on testing issues to business and project managers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in automation testing within a Managed Services setting or a large government agency, ideally in an outsourcing context.

• The candidate must be open to working on a Part-Time Permanent basis.

• Familiarity with Azure Pipelines (YAML or Classic), as this is the primary CI/CD engine for running automated tests.

• Experience with Azure DevOps Test Reporting & Analytics (Native).

• Proficiency in:

• Playwright (TypeScript) for end-to-end UI and API automation.

• Cypress (TypeScript) for front-end regression end-to-end testing.

• Selenium (Node/JS) only when legacy compatibility or existing investment is necessary.

• Azure DevOps PublishTestResults@2 (JUnit) for test reporting within pipelines.

• Strong skills in technical documentation and interpretation.

• Ability to work with minimal oversight, prioritize tasks, and proactively resolve issues.

• Capability to concentrate on deadlines and deliverables.

• A team player with a strong customer-centric approach.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Good understanding of business processes and systems.
