Automation Test Engineer, French

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Create and establish a comprehensive test automation framework from the ground up utilizing Selenium Grid and Playwright.

• Outline the complete QA strategy, testing standards, and best practices for the team.

• Design scalable and maintainable test suites that encompass UI, API, and integration layers.

• Promote the adoption of a shift-left testing methodology across engineering teams.

• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for the automated execution of tests.

• Integrate test automation seamlessly into the development workflow using GitHub repositories and branching strategies.

• Configure parallel and distributed test execution through Selenium Grid to achieve optimal performance.

• Monitor test execution reports, track relevant metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Develop and sustain end-to-end, regression, smoke, and functional test suites.

• Implement strategies for cross-browser and cross-platform testing utilizing Playwright.

• Ensure that test data management strategies are well-documented and effectively implemented.

• Conduct regular refactoring of test code to guarantee long-term maintainability.

• Serve as a technical mentor for junior and mid-level QA engineers.

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to establish acceptance criteria.

• Produce clear technical documentation, including test plans, reports, and architecture decisions.

• Communicate test results and quality status to local stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in automation.

• Demonstrated experience in building automation frameworks from the ground up.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional communication and documentation skills.

• Capability to work independently and lead technical decision-making.

• Proficiency in French at level B1, both written and spoken.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience with Selenium WebDriver and Selenium Grid (setup and configuration).

• Proficient in Playwright (TypeScript or Python).

• Knowledge of GitHub and GitHub Actions (CI/CD pipelines).

• Understanding of test frameworks such as pytest, JUnit, TestNG, etc.

• Experience in API testing (REST/SOAP using tools like Postman, RestAssured, etc.).

• Basic knowledge of Docker/containerization.

• Proficient in at least one programming language: Python, Java, or TypeScript.
