This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Develop, enhance, and optimize comprehensive UI and API automation test suites utilizing Playwright and TypeScript as the primary technology stack.
• Sustain and scale current automation frameworks by implementing modular, highly maintainable Page Object Models (POM) and step abstractions.
• Craft resilient automation logic that manages asynchronous control flows, custom promises, network interceptors, and effective element visibility loops.
• Actively utilize next-generation AI coding tools (Cursor IDE, Claude 3.5 Sonnet/Opus, ChatGPT, Gemini) to expedite test generation, script refactoring, and framework enhancement.
• Integrate automated test execution suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins) to oversee scheduled regression and nightly job runs.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams during planning and walkthroughs to outline acceptance criteria, translating them into both automated and selective manual test coverage.
• Isolate, document, and meticulously track software defects using Jira, working closely with development teams to expedite hotfixes.
• Contribute to the writing and maintenance of test plans, test environments, test cases, and both automated and manual test scripts.
• 1 to 4 years of extensive hands-on experience focused on QA Automation Testing using Playwright with TypeScript (or strong JavaScript background).
• Proficient with Playwright primitives: locator actionability, native assertion matchers, multi-context/multi-tab handling, browser state reuse, and advanced locator strategies (CSS, text, and custom XPaths).
• Strong foundation in core TypeScript/JavaScript development, including asynchronous primitives (async/await), conditional control loops, and comprehensive error resilience through structured try/catch blocks.
• Practical experience with Cursor IDE or using Claude (Opus/Sonnet), ChatGPT, or Gemini to generate intelligent test coverage, draft repetitive test steps, explain code, and facilitate rapid debugging.
• Solid understanding of functional, regression, sanity, and integration testing methodologies, along with experience in implementing Data-Driven or BDD/TDD test design patterns.
• Regular hands-on experience with Git repositories for code management and execution setups in CI/CD pipeline environments.
• Basic knowledge of SQL queries.
• Experience with Git workflows, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and resolving merge conflicts.
• Equal opportunity workplace.
