Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess existing workflows and automation requirements

• Recognize and prioritize automation opportunities that offer significant value

• Take ownership of long-term automation projects from initial discovery to production

• Secure approved access to unfamiliar systems and platforms

• Design, create, and implement production automations utilizing n8n and custom code

• Develop AI-driven automations using models and platforms from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and other providers

• Create and evaluate PostgreSQL data pipelines that handle production events

• Ensure data integrity across interconnected systems and platforms

• Oversee automation architecture across development, staging, and production environments

• Develop, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions

• Track workflow performance, reliability, throughput, costs, and business results

• Engage in the on-call rotation and address production incidents

• Determine root causes of recurring failures and implement sustainable solutions

• Investigate new automation platforms, AI functionalities, integration techniques, and tools

• Collaborate with internal audit teams to evaluate automated processes for security, data quality, and compliance

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be located in India

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with Python

• 3 to 5 years of experience in process automation or with RPA platforms

• Practical experience with low-code or no-code platforms such as n8n or Zapier

• Experience in building and testing REST APIs and backend services

• Hands-on expertise in creating and maintaining browser automation and web scraping scripts

• Proficient in writing SQL queries and working with relational databases

• Experience in developing production-grade AI agents across multiple frameworks and model providers

• Practical experience in building MCP servers and tool integrations

• Professional background with AWS, Google Cloud, or similar cloud services

• Familiarity with Datadog for logging, analytics, and observability

• Experience with PagerDuty for alerting and incident management

• Proven ability to manage multi-step projects with shifting priorities

• Strong organizational and process management capabilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to sit for extended periods

• Willingness to work from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST

• Experience integrating with Salesforce or other CRM platforms (preferred)

• Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools (preferred)

• Knowledge of identity and access management practices (preferred)

• Hands-on experience supporting GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA, or similar compliance requirements (preferred)
