Automation Digital Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete delivery of automation initiatives from the initial intake and discovery phase through to deployment and ongoing optimization.

• Establish and nurture relationships with business stakeholders across the organizations served.

• Grasp the business operating models, key processes, challenges, and areas of concern.

• Identify, define, and document automation opportunities, process workflows, process maps, problem statements, scope, requirements, and anticipated outcomes.

• Create business cases that highlight efficiency improvements, cost reductions, and operational impacts.

• Design and manage automation roadmaps.

• Assess and prioritize opportunities based on their value, complexity, and alignment with strategic goals.

• Oversee and manage the opportunity pipeline and product backlog.

• Lead backlog refinement sessions and gather requirements.

• Convert requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

• Conduct user story review sessions and obtain business approval.

• Coordinate the transition of requirements to technical teams.

• Develop delivery plans, timelines, milestones, resource allocations, and effort estimates.

• Monitor and report on status, progress, risks, dependencies, blockers, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, automation subject matter experts (SMEs), and business teams.

• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics.

• Execute post-implementation reviews and champion continuous improvement efforts.

• Create training materials such as demo videos and walkthroughs.

• Facilitate adoption and knowledge sharing.

• Contribute to AI, agentic automation, robotic process automation (RPA), and web-based application solutions.

• Utilize prompting tools and AI techniques for analysis, daily operations, and solution support.

• Promote innovation initiatives and experimentation with emerging technologies.

• Cultivate and maintain domain expertise and advise business stakeholders on automation best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, and Project Management.

• Demonstrated capability in managing the full lifecycle of automation or digital products.

• Proficient in process analysis and business discovery.

• Skilled in requirements gathering and documentation.

• Experienced in backlog prioritization and roadmap management.

• Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Practical experience with RPA solutions.

• Hands-on experience with AI and intelligent automation technologies.

• Practical experience with web application delivery.

• Familiarity with Copilot, Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar modern AI tools.

• Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or comparable tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills.

• Outstanding communication and influencing skills, including the ability to report at the executive level.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience with agentic AI or advanced automation frameworks is preferred.

• Strong capabilities in process mapping and data analysis tools, such as Power BI, are preferred.

• Certifications in Agile, Business Analysis, or RPA platforms are preferred.

• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefits management, or related industries is preferred.
