Auto Claims Field Appraiser

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct inspections, evaluations, and prepare appraisal estimates for automobile damage.

• Engage in communication with insured individuals, auto body shops, contractors, and adjusters.

• Negotiate matters concerning total losses of vehicles and assess salvage values.

• Provide expert guidance to adjusting personnel regarding auto damage assessments.

• Carry out timely inspections and re-inspections as required.

• Ensure precise record-keeping in claims management systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Daily travel is necessary within the San Diego, CA area.

• Proficient knowledge in the estimation and negotiation of automobile physical damage claims.

• Excellent communication skills when interacting with insured parties, auto body shops, contractors, and adjusters.

• Capability to inspect, assess, and draft appraisal estimates utilizing estimating software.

• Proven experience in negotiating automobile total losses and determining salvage values.

• Ability to develop and sustain business relationships with independent repair contractors and vendors.

• Must stay informed of legislative updates and industry developments.
