Auto Appraiser – Catastrophic Loss

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluates and assesses the costs of repairs for damaged vehicles directly in the field.

• Decides between repair and replacement options, along with parts utilization.

• Analyzes and determines the repairability or salvageability of vehicles using industry-standard estimatics software.

• Travels to various inspection sites to evaluate vehicles on-site.

• Prepares cost estimates utilizing estimatics software.

• Collaborates directly with auto repair facilities to finalize supplemental repair processing and provides additional estimates.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Must possess licenses as required by state regulations.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in appraisal, or a suitable combination of education and experience is necessary.

• Comprehensive knowledge of automobiles is essential.

• Capability to understand and effectively use appraisal software.

• Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Office products.

• Strong organizational abilities are required.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills are necessary.

• Strong negotiation skills are a must.

• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

• Must be able to meet or surpass established Performance Competencies.
