This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Provide exemplary assessments for Children’s Autism and ADHD within the Neurodevelopmental framework.
• Adhere to our Safeguarding Policy, including performing risk assessments as required.
• Stay current with mandatory training, Continuing Professional Development, and the professional registration obligations relevant to your field.
• Contribute insights for the enhancement of Paloma’s software tools to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency in assessments.
• You should be one of the following:
• An NMC-registered Nurse
• An HCPC Registered Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Arts Therapist, or Practitioner Psychologist (including Clinical Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, and Counselling Psychologists)
• A Social Work England Registered Social Worker
• Ideally, you possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in conducting Children’s Autism and ADHD assessments. However, we will also consider candidates with at least 6 months of experience in a relevant assessment pathway for children. For Clinical Psychologists, pre-graduation experience can be included within this 6-month requirement.
• Your experience with children’s Autism and ADHD should involve:
• A solid understanding of typical developmental progressions, co-occurring conditions, and differential diagnoses.
• An awareness of normal attention levels, impulsivity, and hyperactivity in typically developing children and young people, with consideration for the cultural context of the assessed individual.
• The capability to present findings in a client-centered manner, highlighting both strengths and areas of need.
• Proven time management skills, including effective caseload management, along with strong communication abilities with parents and children.
• Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check with a barred list review, as the role involves working with children.
• The Paloma Clinical Academy program supports clinicians at all career stages for professional development (e.g., progression to our Senior Assessor role) and cross-skilling (e.g., in autism).
• Regular clinical supervision provided.
• One protected day each month dedicated to assessor team training, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and self-reflection.
• Quarterly development discussions with defined career advancement pathways.
• Clearly structured weekly schedules that facilitate a balanced mix of appointments, administrative tasks, professional development, and team building.
• A payment of £500 for each completed developmental history and family feedback.
• A payment of £270 for each completed child observation.
