This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Monitor and request all necessary authorizations for private insurance.
β’ Implement changes to enhance the authorization workflow and foster relationships with providers under the guidance of the Billing Manager.
β’ Provide precise information regarding authorizations to the staff.
β’ Reduce the occurrence of denied authorizations.
β’ Schedule authorizations promptly upon receipt.
β’ Input staff schedules for private pay clients on a weekly basis.
β’ Conduct monthly verifications of clients' insurance eligibility.
β’ Report unauthorized visits on a monthly basis.
β’ Comply with the designated work schedule and maintain a strong record of punctuality and attendance.
β’ Follow the established dress code.
β’ Carry out any additional related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
β’ Preferred experience in insurance, including running and reading eligibility and requesting authorizations.
β’ Experience with HCHB is preferred.
β’ Required experience in home health and hospice settings.
β’ Familiarity with medical terminology and/or a general medical background is essential.
β’ Capability to work independently with sound judgment.
β’ Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary.
β’ Dependability, tact, and the ability to follow instructions are required.
β’ Ability to handle multiple deadlines effectively.
β’ Advanced computer skills are a must.
β’ Exceptional customer service skills are required.
β’ Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word is essential.
