This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate job-specific requirements and create technical training programs with defined business objectives.
• Conduct targeted training sessions employing appropriate delivery methods such as in-person, online, and webinars.
• Offer assistance to the CCV audit team members; help orient new members as necessary and provide mentorship post-orientation.
• Enhance audit accuracy by training, educating, and mentoring auditors, while delivering documented and validated findings.
• Provide training on various audit types, including Outpatient and Specialty Review Types such as SNF, IRF, and HH.
• Evaluate and monitor the performance of oneself, colleagues, and/or organizations to suggest improvements or recommend corrective actions.
• An Associate's Degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 to 7+ years of experience with comprehensive knowledge of medical claims, billing/payment systems, provider billing guidelines, payer reimbursement policies, medical necessity criteria, and coding terminology.
• Clinical or nursing experience in SNF, IRF, and HH settings is mandatory.
• Coding certification is required and must be maintained as a condition of employment (CCS, CPC, etc.).
• Compliance with official coding guidelines, coding clinic determinations, as well as CMS and other regulatory compliance guidelines and mandates is required.
• Expert knowledge of coding, particularly CPT and HCPCS codes, is essential.
• Strong skills in presentation and communication.
• Ability to think independently, logically, and strategically, with a keen focus on details.
• High level of proficiency with all relevant audit technologies, such as R3 and CAT.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications.
• Candidates should possess experience in home health, IRF, and SNF settings.
