Audit Processing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Effectively manage incoming requests for medical records, ensuring prompt and precise processing via VRC software applications.

• Assist in resolving HIPAA-related release issues, making sure all procedures comply with regulatory standards concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).

• Systematically organize, review, and interpret medical records, forms, and authorizations, with a focus on accuracy and meticulousness throughout the release process.

• Deliver outstanding customer service through professional and courteous communication.

• Collaborate professionally and harmoniously with customers and colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory; some college coursework is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in medical records or Release of Information (ROI) processing is required.

• At least 2 years of experience in clerical or office-based roles.

• Proficient in utilizing general office equipment, including desktop computers, scanners, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Familiarity with healthcare environments is advantageous.

• A working understanding of HIPAA and state regulations regarding the release of Protected Health Information is preferred.

• Capability to work independently with little supervision.

• Strong attention to detail along with excellent organizational skills.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
