Audit Assistant Manager – 6-Month FTC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Audit facilitation and delivery: Manage daily coordination with external auditors across designated jurisdictions to ensure audits proceed as planned.

• PBC (Prepared By Client) oversight: Independently collect, review, reconcile, and verify audit support materials, including schedules, listings, and sample evidence.

• Financial reporting and compliance: Assist in the preparation and alignment of financial statements with local statutory regulations and Group standards (IFRS / UK GAAP).

• Issue resolution: Actively identify and address audit queries, discrepancies, and technical accounting challenges, escalating issues clearly when necessary.

• Stakeholder coordination: Collaborate across various time zones and teams, aligning priorities between local finance teams and corporate finance in London.

• Project tracking: Ensure clear progress reporting, risks, timelines, and next steps to keep milestones on schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• Audit experience: At least 3 years of experience in External Audit (preferably from Big 4 or a strong second-tier background) or similar roles in technical accounting/financial reporting within a multinational context.

• Professional knowledge: Solid understanding of audit processes, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.

• Familiarity with IFRS and/or UK GAAP.

• Experience in supporting statutory audits across multiple jurisdictions (experience in Europe and/or the Middle East is advantageous).

• Advanced skills in Excel; adept at handling large data sets and reconciliations.

• Knowledge of ERP systems and finance data flows.

• English: Proficient in both written and spoken communication.
