This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Spearhead audience development initiatives for VIP German events, overseeing research, sourcing, outreach, qualification, engagement with senior delegates, and ensuring attendance delivery among key German audiences.
• Establish and nurture a robust German-speaking audience network within the IT sector, including MSPs, VARs, system integrators, solution providers, vendors, advisory board members, and senior technology leaders as relevant.
• Conduct German-language delegate discussions with assurance, articulating event themes, discussion topics, peer groups, and the benefits of attendance to senior technology and channel leaders.
• Manage the relationship with the German advisory board, encompassing communication, meeting preparation, follow-ups, feedback collection, and ensuring that advisory input is communicated effectively to editorial, sales, marketing, and event teams.
• Evaluate delegate applications against event criteria, ensuring that each audience is pertinent, senior, and consistent with the event's objectives, whether channel-focused, end-user-focused, or in a curated VIP format.
• Assist and, when appropriate, lead audience recruitment for designated CRN/Channel events, broader Computing events, and European programs like XChange EMEA, collaborating closely with internal teams to comprehend audience requirements and event priorities.
• Serve as a valuable audience representative for the German market, providing delegate feedback, market insights, topic interests, audience challenges, and relationship intelligence to editorial, sales, marketing, and operations teams.
• Employ a sophisticated combination of phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, desk research, advisory board relationships, and in-person networking to cultivate the German and broader European audience network.
• Communicate with confirmed delegates to promote attendance and engagement, utilizing calendar invites, personalized emails, reminder calls, and pre-event communications in both German and English as necessary.
• Keep precise records in event trackers and internal systems, including outreach, responses, registrations, confirmations, and cancellations.
• Take ownership of clear reporting on audience progression, pipeline quality, registration status, and attendance risks, ensuring timely visibility of event audience performance for internal stakeholders.
• Attend relevant local events in Germany, as well as selected events in the UK and Europe as needed, to network with senior contacts, professionally represent the brand, and strengthen the German audience community.
• Collaborate closely and independently with German editorial, sales, marketing, customer success, and operations teams to facilitate event delivery, enhance audience quality, and ensure that German-language audience activities align with broader business objectives.
• Proficient in both German and English, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with senior technology and channel contacts in each language.
• Demonstrated experience in audience development, delegate acquisition, event recruitment, business development, partnerships, sales, community management, or a comparable relationship-focused role is essential.
• A confident relationship-builder capable of establishing trust with senior IT, technology, and channel professionals, managing senior discussions independently, and representing The Channel Company in a credible and professional manner.
• Commercially savvy, inquisitive, and comfortable researching companies, job titles, technology themes, channel market trends, and potential attendee communities across Germany, the UK, and the broader European landscape.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and resilient, with the capacity to handle multiple events, senior stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working towards targets, monitoring progress, and taking responsibility for outcomes.
• Able to work collaboratively with German-speaking internal teams and external stakeholders, including advisory board members, senior delegates, sponsors, and local market contacts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM systems, or event platforms is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Willingness to travel for local German events and relevant UK or broader European events as necessary.
• 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday
