This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Maintenance of hearing schedules
β’ Attending hearings and/or organizing local appearance counsel attendance ahead of the hearing with clear directives regarding the expected outcome
β’ Providing prompt hearing results internally and to clients upon request
β’ Management of portfolio
β’ Reviewing and signing all pleadings in a timely manner before submission to clients and/or the court to ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations
β’ Monitoring ECFs and dockets in real-time and escalating any actionable docket events
β’ Confirming that both internal and external systems (if applicable) are completed in a timely and appropriate manner with case-specific information
β’ Ensuring that staff have access to workable templates that comply with local and federal procedural rules, as well as any specific rules for the district or judge
β’ Promptly escalating, managing, and mitigating any identified risks on files where the firm or a current client has an interest
β’ Providing Loan Level Support to Firm Staff and Clients
β’ Responding to inquiries and communicating effectively in a timely manner to both firm staff and clients. Communication should include detailed guidance on necessary actions and a comprehensive legal analysis of the current situation
β’ Offering guidance to firm staff on the preparation of pleadings and/or supplying templates to assist in this preparation
β’ Collaborating with leadership to pinpoint areas for process improvement
β’ Researching relevant case law affecting your assigned jurisdictions along with developments related to bankruptcy code or changes in case law
β’ Active bar admission in Florida with good standing status
β’ Admission or ability to gain admission to all bankruptcy courts within Florida
β’ Experience in representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings in the jurisdiction of employment or a willingness to acquire bankruptcy knowledge
β’ Capability to collaborate with others in a friendly and team-oriented manner
β’ Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to ongoing changes
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
