Assurance AI Technology Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead assurance technology initiatives aimed at fostering innovation, automation, process enhancement, and operational efficiency.

• Formulate and implement strategic plans to modernize audit technology, tools, and workflows.

• Collaborate with assurance leadership to pinpoint opportunities for digital transformation and ongoing improvement.

• Supervise the deployment and adoption of audit technologies, which include data analytics, AI tools, workflow automation, and audit software platforms.

• Propel the standardization and optimization of audit processes across various teams and offices.

• Work cross-functionally with IT, risk advisory, compliance, and firm leadership to synchronize transformation initiatives with business objectives.

• Keep track of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that affect the audit profession.

• Lead change management initiatives, encompassing communication, training, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the successful adoption of new processes and tools.

• Establish KPIs and reporting metrics to assess the success of transformation efforts, audit efficiency, and quality enhancements.

• Facilitate talent development by mentoring audit professionals and advocating for innovation-focused learning initiatives.

• Oversee technology-related budgets, project timelines, and vendor partnerships.

• Ensure that technology initiatives comply with professional standards, firm policies, and regulatory requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• CPA certification is required; additional qualifications such as CIA, CISA, PMP, or Six Sigma are advantageous.

• Over a decade of experience in public accounting, audit, consulting, or roles focused on transformation leadership.

• Comprehensive understanding of audit methodology, risk assessment, internal controls, and regulatory standards.

• Proven experience in leading large-scale transformation, process improvement, or technology implementation projects.

• Familiarity with audit technologies, data analytics tools, automation platforms, and AI-driven audit solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively influence senior stakeholders.

• Strong project management, organizational, and strategic planning capabilities.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced and evolving environment while driving organizational change.

• Experience in a public accounting firm or professional services setting is preferred.
