Associate/Team Lead – M&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the report team to conduct research and prepare financial reports, ensuring execution quality and adherence to Focus Finance’s quality standards.

• Engage with the M&A Global Heads and Leadership Team to facilitate strategic and operational decision-making for the division.

• Take part in learning initiatives to enhance your finance expertise, while gaining practical experience in team and project management.

• Assist Focus Finance in fostering engagement, attracting new readership, and broadening its brand presence at various universities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student specializing in finance, management, economics, engineering, or a related field (applications from all universities worldwide are encouraged).

• Proficient in constructing valuation models from the ground up (including 3-statement operating model, DCF, trading comps).

• Strong awareness of industry trends, business dynamics, and commercial factors.

• A keen interest in M&A, capital markets, private equity, or corporate development.

• Previous experience in leadership or management roles is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Essential soft skills include teamwork, adaptability, resilience, and an international perspective.

• Capability to balance qualitative and quantitative data effectively.
