This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
β’ Integrate both off-the-shelf and custom radio hardware into our drone connectivity framework encompassing Wi-Fi and cellular technologies.
β’ Write, test, and maintain software routines in the Linux user space and driver layers utilizing C, C++, and Python.
β’ Create automated procedures to extract, log, and analyze wireless link performance metrics such as RSSI, SNR, and packet loss.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams in RF, embedded systems, and cloud environments to design rate adaptation algorithms suitable for dynamic flight scenarios.
β’ Conduct flight data analyses and perform hardware-in-the-loop testing in connectivity laboratories to validate aerial performance in real-world conditions.
β’ Strong foundational programming abilities in C, C++, and Python, along with basic software development tools such as Git and debugging utilities.
β’ Proven experience in Linux environments and a technical understanding of networking principles or embedded systems.
β’ Hands-on exposure to wireless communications, networking, or microcontrollers through academic courses, student design teams, research labs, or personal projects.
β’ Effective communication skills and a keen desire to learn from senior engineers while developing complex autonomous technologies.
β’ A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical discipline.
β’ Familiarity with wireless standards like 802.11 or 5G, single-board computers, SDRs, or participation in robotics design teams is advantageous.
