• Conducting drainage studies, hydromodification assessments, detention basin evaluations, and supporting the creation of design plans for civil engineering initiatives.
• Executing third-party evaluations of drainage and water quality documentation from other consultants, along with SWPPPs.
• Performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses utilizing software such as AES, CivilDesign, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, WSPG, and StormCAD.
• Drafting proposal letters, participating in client meetings, and aiding the team in identifying business development opportunities.
• Preparing FEMA Letters of Map Revision (CLOMRs/LOMRs).
• Preparing and reviewing Storm Water Quality Management Plans (SWQMPs).
• Developing and reviewing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
• Possess a PE license in California.
• Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in drafting Drainage Reports in Southern California.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic standards set by both County and City of San Diego for development projects.
• Familiarity with the current hydromodification regulations under the existing County of San Diego MS4 permit.
• Proficient in Rational Method calculations and basin routing analyses.
• Desired skills include knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, ArcGIS, HEC programs, PondPack, and SWMM.
• Certification as a Floodplain Manager by ASFPM is preferred.
