This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of project managers, fostering a culture of accountability, ongoing improvement, and exceptional performance.
• Oversee project performance across the agency's portfolio — monitoring financials, resource allocation, timelines, and risks to ensure delivery excellence at scale.
• Convert portfolio and financial data into key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and executive-level reports that facilitate informed decision-making.
• Develop, standardize, and continually enhance project management systems, workflows, and documentation frameworks throughout the agency.
• Collaborate with practice area leaders and account management to guarantee strategic alignment and operational clarity across the client portfolio.
• Act as a hands-on project lead for selected high-priority client engagements.
• Assist in new-business pitches and establish clear expectations with clients who are new to the engagement.
• Navigate a matrixed, cross-functional environment — exercising sound judgment when addressing competing priorities and effectively collaborating across disciplines.
• Over 10 years of project management experience in marketing-related fields, with agency experience highly preferred.
• A demonstrated history of building, standardizing, and governing project management processes and reporting — not merely maintaining inherited systems.
• Hands-on proficiency in project planning, task management, budgeting, resource allocation, and forecasting.
• Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing a team of project managers.
• Strong data fluency — capable of transforming portfolio and financial metrics into actionable insights and executive-ready reports.
• Experience in navigating a matrixed, cross-functional agency environment with competing departmental priorities.
• Client-facing experience, including assisting in new-business pitches and setting expectations with clients new to the engagement.
• Proficiency in Wrike or a similar platform (Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com); transferable experience is welcomed.
• Excellent communication skills — able to engage clearly and confidently with internal partners and senior stakeholders alike.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Comprehensive benefits package that includes nationwide health, dental, and vision coverage.
• 401(k) plan with employer contribution.
• Employer-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage.
• Flexible time off (FTO) along with additional time-off options such as sick leave, volunteer leave, and bereavement leave.
• Paid parental leave.
• A day off to celebrate your birthday.
• Two agency-wide closures during the summer and winter seasons.
• Monthly lifestyle stipend to help cover routine wellness expenses like streaming subscriptions, gym memberships, or phone/internet bills.
