This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a senior strategic media leader for important client accounts and create innovative, forward-thinking plans that promote measurable business growth.
• Spearhead integrated planning across Converged TV, Audio, Social, Search, Programmatic, OOH, Print, and new emerging channels.
• Transform audience insights, historical performance data, attribution outputs, market trends, and client business goals into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with Analytics and channel leads to shape measurement strategies, optimize for brand and performance KPIs, and apply insights to future planning.
• Provide a senior planning perspective during planning reviews, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), client presentations, and executive discussions.
• Establish trusted senior client relationships and appropriately escalate broader business or relationship concerns.
• Work alongside Media Planning Department leadership to establish planning standards, scalable processes, and collaborative working methods.
• Enhance Rain’s Media Planning practice by improving planning quality, integration, training, and workflow consistency.
• Advance planning tools, proprietary technologies, AI-driven workflows, and attribution models.
• Keep track of industry trends, emerging platforms, and the evolution of measurement approaches.
• Advocate for new business through pitches and collaborations with cross-functional partners.
• Build internal and external networks with client partners, industry experts, platform and data partners, and peers.
• Contribute to points of view (POVs), case studies, training materials, and content for the Media Impact Report.
• Oversee, mentor, and cultivate planning talent, including Directors and emerging leaders.
• Guide teams on strategic planning, client leadership, communication, delegation, and accountability.
• Create and facilitate training opportunities across various tools, channels, audience strategies, planning methodologies, measurement, and strategic storytelling.
• Promote a high-performing, collaborative, and accountable planning culture.
• Provide insights on staffing, resource allocation, utilization, and delivery models.
• Support account and departmental health by linking scope, staffing, profitability, deliverables, client satisfaction, and team capacity.
• Eliminate obstacles, clarify ownership and next steps, and maintain urgency regarding business-critical deliverables.
• Over 12 years of experience in agency media planning, integrated media strategy, or related media leadership for national accounts.
• Extensive cross-channel planning experience across linear, streaming, digital, audio, social, search, programmatic, retail media, and emerging channels.
• Demonstrated ability to convert data, research, market context, audience insights, and performance results into compelling strategic narratives.
• Strong executive presence and communication abilities, with experience in leading or contributing to senior client discussions, planning reviews, QBRs, and new business presentations.
• Experience in managing and developing senior planning talent, including Directors and high-potential future leaders.
• Robust business acumen, including understanding staffing, scope, utilization, operational efficiency, resource planning, and the factors that contribute to healthy client business.
• Forward-looking perspective on media industry changes, such as audience strategy, Converged TV, measurement evolution, attribution, AI-enabled planning, and shifts in consumer behavior.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge the status quo, and take initiative when necessary.
