
Associate Vice President – Curriculum and Learning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the curriculum and instruction, course design and development, and experiential learning teams.
• Drive college-wide quality assurance and ongoing improvement in the BSN curriculum and experiential learning.
• Create and uphold an annual strategic plan for curriculum and learning.
• Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership for academic, educational, and programmatic initiatives.
• Ensure that academic programs adhere to accreditation and regulatory standards, which includes maintaining records and generating reports.
• Offer academic leadership and oversight for the BSN curriculum, educational technologies, and experiential learning.
• Evaluate and update curriculum and procedures to foster inclusion, equity, and diversity.
• Direct strategic curriculum development, execution, and continuous quality enhancement.
• Encourage student learning through the use of educational technology, experiential learning, and effective course resources.
• Supervise the alignment of curriculum and content with AACN BSN Essentials, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, NCLEX test plan, and other necessary standards.
• Support LMS course design and enhance courses and curricula using assessment and quality data.
• Ensure that simulation-based education fosters critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Develop standardized processes for laboratory, clinical, and simulation instruction, remediation, and learning-outcome evaluation.
• Facilitate ongoing education sessions focused on simulation design, facilitation, and evaluation.
• Manage instructional vendors and assess the cost-effectiveness of pedagogically sound materials.
• Ensure compliance with relevant academic regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with the Associate Vice President of Assessment and Development to manage CCNE accreditation Standard III.
• Mentor Deans of Nursing and Deans of General Education regarding academic affairs and leadership effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Academic Affairs leadership and key stakeholders to enhance academic outcomes and promote student success.
• Doctorate degree in Nursing or a master’s degree in Nursing paired with a doctorate in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in nursing education, which includes curriculum development, systematic program evaluation, simulation, and academic affairs, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
• Current unencumbered registered nurse license.
• Capacity to translate vision and strategy into actionable results.
• Ability to cultivate valued relationships with external stakeholders and internal leaders across a complex, highly matrixed organization.
• Exceptional project management skills.
• Experience and knowledge in educational technology.
• A proven history in BSN-level education is a plus.
