This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Associate is an evolving mid-level consultant tasked with managing discipline-specific deliverables, collaborating with clients and design partners, overseeing and executing small projects, and assisting in the completion of larger projects under the guidance of a senior engineer.
• You will collaborate with your Mentor, senior engineers, and Project Leads to create precise, coordinated designs while fostering independence through strong documentation practices and consistent follow-through.
• Your responsibilities will include designing systems, preparing drawings, specifications, and calculations, as well as producing coordinated deliverables—either on your own or in conjunction with the production team.
• Externally, you'll start building client relationships—establishing trust through effective communication, dependable follow-through, and thoughtful coordination.
• You will engage in project meetings, programming sessions, coordination discussions, and construction support, ensuring alignment with clients, contractors, manufacturers, and design partners.
• Internally, you'll provide discipline scope input for pursuits, prepare preliminary fee assumptions, and assist in proposal coordination. You will enhance team practices by refining documentation, developing tools, and sharing lessons learned while advancing through training journeys and structured mentorship.
• Education: BS in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Architecture, or a related field; or equivalent technical or field experience.
• Experience: 5+ years in the AEC industry with a strong command of Revit, coordinated modeling, and construction documentation across various projects, including familiarity with coordination processes or field-related activities.
• Preferred: Experience in delivering technology system designs (Telecom/ICT, Audiovisual, Security, Acoustics, Network, Wi-Fi, and other technology disciplines) and supporting engineering tasks such as calculations, device layouts, and specification development.
• Proven experience leading BIM coordination efforts, including clash detection, model review, and cross-discipline resolution.
• Capability to maintain model health at a senior production level, including workset management, view template application, warning resolution, and model cleanup.
• Proficient in managing and maintaining coordinated models, producing precise drawings with minimal oversight, and independently resolving production issues.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage workloads across multiple projects, lead coordination efforts, and support engineers and project leads.
• Solid technical knowledge of technology systems and engineering principles; ability to perform calculations, conduct product research, and contribute to design development with limited guidance.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit; familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Asana, and GitHub.
