This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +4 more states.
• Join the Innovation team to conceptualize and assess technology, industrial/physical automation, and AI opportunities that support our Biomedical Services mission.
• Create comprehensive business cases to kick-start technology and AI initiatives.
• Propel rapid experimentation by swiftly transforming ideas into user stories, UX mockups, and functional prototypes to validate desirability, feasibility, and user satisfaction within our Biomedical Services Test Kitchen.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to advance prototypes from concept to working demonstration, removing obstacles and clarifying subsequent actions.
• Assist in maintaining a project roadmap with high-level timelines to track project/portfolio performance metrics, ensuring ongoing business value assessment.
• Work intimately with clients to evaluate current and future technological and data science directions to align with business objectives.
• Investigate intricate operations-related challenges and inquiries, proposing, facilitating, and coordinating viable solutions.
• Prepare communications and deliver presentations regarding your projects.
• Facilitate resolution of issues between IT and business when necessary.
• Log bugs and collaborate with developers to address issues promptly.
• Conduct user testing with field resources to ensure the product meets user expectations.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience: At least 4 years of relevant experience in Technical Product Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Current coding skills are essential, preferably in HTML, CSS, and an object-oriented programming language such as Python, Java, C#, or C++.
• Proven ability to rapidly prototype solutions (e.g., wireframes/mock UIs, clickable prototypes, or functional proofs of concept) and iterate based on feedback from stakeholders and users.
• Experience in writing APIs, interpreting technical documentation, and crafting user stories.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity with a test-and-learn mindset—capable of defining assumptions, conducting quick validations, and communicating results and trade-offs effectively.
• Strong technical aptitude and keen interest in emerging technologies and AI.
